Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga floral cotton dress with date label 2010. The dress is a tunic style in an antique look print featuring a floral and leaf arrangement in muted orange and beige tones against a smoky black background. This has Ghesquiere's trademark precision cutting and the dress has an interesting neckline cut producing a square folded over bertha style collar at the back in contrast to a key hole tied neckline to the front. The tapered sleeves are around 3/4 length and the main body of the dress is asymmetrically panelled and tapered as the hem edges towards the top of the knee. Lined in 100% black silk, the label size is French 40 which equates to a UK 12 or US 8. It is also suitable for sizes smaller. A great layering piece and would look good belted with a heavy woollen cardigan in the winter or ballet flats in cooler climes. Pristine vintage condition.
